Verizon Double Data For Life SIMs Now Available on eBay

  • Last month, Verizon Prepaid launched a Double Data Promotion. It’s a pretty good deal, new customers on Verizon’s $ 30, $ 40, $ 50 and $ 60 get double the normal amount of data for as long as they keep their service active on the same plan. With the double data, the plans are:

    • $ 30/month – unlimited talk, text and data with the first 1 GB (normally 0.5 GB) at high speeds
    • $ 40/month – unlimited talk, text and data with the first 6 GB (normally 3 GB) at high speeds
    • $ 50/month – unlimited talk, text and data with the first 14 GB (normally 7 GB) at high speeds
    • $ 60/month – unlimited talk, text and data with the first 20 GB (normally 10 GB) at high speeds plus unlimited talk and text to Mexico and Canada

That’s a pretty good offer but until now it’s had a fatal flaw. The offer is only available at Verizon Prepaid stores that use the Vidpay point of sale system. These dealers seem to be very few in number and Verizon doesn’t offer any way to search for a nearby dealer.

If you can’t find a Verizon dealer offering the double data for life deal you can now buy SIMs that are eligible for the deal on eBay. There are a number of eBay sellers offering these SIMs. The sellers come and go, and I haven’t had any experience with them, so I’m not going to link to specific ones. You you can click this link verizon prepaid sim card double data – eBay to do any eBay search for Verizon Prepaid SIMs with double data.
All the SIMs require activation through the seller and include the first month of service at a discount. At the moment I see SIMs for as low as $ 4 with the $ 40 plan included or $ 24.99 with the $ 50 plan and $ 29.95 with the $ 60 plan. These SIMs are  for new activations only, but some sellers allow you to port in from another carrier as long as it’s not a Verizon Prepaid number. Be sure to real the item descriptions carefully to make sure you understand the terms of the deal.  Buying SIMs from eBay is pretty safe. If the SIM doesn’t arrive or isn’t as advertised plan you have 30 days to file a claim under eBay’s Money Back Guarantee. To minimize the possibility of having to file a claim I recommend buying from sellers with at least one hundred transactions and a 98% or more positive feedback rating.
