About a month ago, we wrote about a promotion Straight Talk Wireless offered to customers who would make a purchase of any Samsung device and activate a new line under the $ 55 plan. In return, these customers will get unlimited 4G LTE data instead of the original 15GB of 4G LTE data allotment the MVNO has imposed.
It looks like Straight Talk Wireless is making this same offer available to other customers without the need to purchase a new Samsung device.
The news was first seen on a comment on a video stating that the $ 55 plan would include unlimited data for any phone starting today, November 9th. This was then shared on HowardForums by rview, who said that the offer is called “Ultimate Unlimited.”
We sent a message to Straight Talk and they confirmed that the offer is no longer exclusive to Samsung devices as it the plan was updated today.
When you take a look at Straight Talk’s website now, you’ll confirm that the unlimited data offer is indeed available on their $ 55 plan but there is no mention of whether it will be available on any device other than Samsung. The plan also includes 30 days of unlimited nationwide talk and text, data, and DVD quality video streaming. Data deprioritization starts after 32GB.
Thanks, Silvia of Straight Talk!
