Pure Talk is a VMNO or Virtual Mobile Network Operator. Most of the users use their own unlocked phone. If you have a phone that was not bought directly from them, you will need to manually configure the Pure Talk APN Settings. If you have an iPhone with updated iOS, you won´t need to manually configure it.
What does it mean that Pure Talk is a VMNO?
This means that Pure Talk is a company that sells mobile services to the users. But also it means that the network infrastructure that they use in order to sell you the service is owned by another big carrier. In this case, the network infrastructure owner is AT&T. That is why in some of the lines that we will configure the Pure Talk APN Settings you will find some AT&T related information.
So the following information is what you will need to input in the APN Settings menu. If you do not know how to get to the APN Settings menu on your phone, you can read How To Configure the APN Settings on My Phone post.
